## What Works

* [CPU frequency scaling](/index.php/CPU_frequency_scaling "CPU frequency scaling")
* Coretemp module for temperature monitoring
*   Function keys
*   Card Reader
*   Microphone
*   Web cam
* Using the [ATI Catalyst](/index.php/ATI_Catalyst "ATI Catalyst") driver the following works:
    *   Suspend and hibernate
    *   3D acceleration
    * VAAPI GPU video acceleration (see [here](/index.php/ATI_Catalyst#Video_acceleration "ATI Catalyst"))
    * HDMI Video (audio not tested)

- Using [xf86-video-ati](/index.php/ATI "ATI") the following works:

*   *   Suspend and hibernate
    *   3D acceleration
    *   [Power profiling](/index.php/ATI#Powersaving "ATI")
    *   [Temperature monitoring](/index.php/ATI#Powersaving "ATI")

## What Does Not Work

As of Catalyst 10.7, the new ATI 2D Acceleration Architecture causes black rectangle corruption. (See ATI bugs [#1839](http://ati.cchtml.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1839) and [#1845](http://ati.cchtml.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1845))

Currently, the fix involves reverting back to the old XAA acceleration. To do this run the following as root:

```
aticonfig --set-pcs-str=DDX,ForceXAA,TRUE
```

## What Has Not Been Tested

*   Bluetooth
*   HDMI Audio
